Giving Back On The Block!

Hi Everyone, Laura here!

Here's the skinny for the Adopt-A-Block (AAB) event on Saturday, April 18th! I'm attaching a flyer provided by the AAB committee, outlining the day's events. We currently have 18 people signed up for our team. If you would like to participate but have not yet signed up, please let me know as soon as possible.

Let's plan to meet at Veteran's Park in Manchester (Elm Street, across from the Radisson Center of NH) at 8:30 AM. I'm not sure what the set up of the park will be, but there will be a place to check in, so let's plan to phlock there. They will provide trash bags and have requested that we bring our own gloves, rakes and brooms to use (make sure to put your name on them somewhere).

They will also be providing us with t-shirts for our team to wear. Please let me know your size as soon as possible so that I can let them know and they'll have them ready for us.

Once we get checked in, they will give us our assignment and we'll be off! According to the flyer, the clean up itself goes until 11:30 and then there will be a festival in Veteran's Park at noon time, with music, face painting, raffles, etc. I am waiting to hear back from my contact to see if there is a minimum age restriction and will pass that info along once I receive it, in the event anyone would like to make this a family event.

So if you haven't signed up, please drop me an email with your t-shirt size and I'll add you to the list. Everyone else, please send me your t-shirt size as soon as possible, or you can give it to me at the CSFP box packing next weekend. Dig out your gloves, rakes and brooms and get ready for a fun day in celebration of Earth Day...parrot head style!!! Cool
